not the cats fault, methinks
Yah sure it's always my fault but then when i have to give them a pill they don't let me help!
I repasted it as i thought it might be dry. they certainly didnt service it so i am glad i opened it up. I still have half a tube of corsair tm 30 remaining. The outer case is a lot cooler to the touch since repasting the cpu.
I wonder how much it costs for the 2.5 inch drive caddy and cable? only 16$ plus free shipping.. not bad i have a 1 gig 2.5 inch hdd i forget whats on it. could put a swap partition there i suppose.
800 g4 hdd caddy (https://www.ebay.com/itm/267046076508?_skw=800+g4+md+hdd+caddy&itmmeta=01JFV9NWTWEER5DQNWBS7ZN8PH&hash=item3e2d2fc05c:g:h9MAAOSwHPBnIW1t&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKnVwh4%2BAXqS9Vv6kWInGOSSDvx6kMMgvCYQjjL5SPU9DX%2FMXZIvkZLXxDdoqRVUtJh7omfKezKtCS7TwLJb2HoCltBRW0HQ854ut5NM5J28KdT8gcEAUUnexEuAGlSaJU2%2BhWpZ8dX3dpBjftmPBJsHpyPWBHCLXe7Y5KV8QmXRfRi1v%2B6to6QbSChnoKF5scnXcCxQMCtYcL3eNbYTA6nAGSCtW5%2FUpK0M0ITAI3smWWMcVHLFV%2F4Dmkp%2BYUtQdSr%2BqLbnEA7rq6mvH%2FMTOWt64CdgCfBZ0Tb3UFQ2gWlJdQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMxs3X6f5k)
I dig these little boxes very much for their zero power consumption and portability and I'm typing from a similar but with a Ryzen 5 2400GE instead; it's fast as an i7-7700T and its Vega 11 rocks in gaming, unlike those deadbeat Intel UHDs.
We have two HP Ultra Mini PC 800 G3 DM Intel i5-6500T (https://www.amazon.fr/HP-i5-6500T-Disque-Windows-Reconditionn%C3%A9/dp/B09N7RDZS4/ref=sr_1_10?__mk_fr_FR=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=2PFRG7CVONVUG&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.voAFiFBuRMQxyHlDcNJdiVU5eUhqU9-DSsZFg8B9sRXPm90ECsyZubGME1T90m4oi8GUBdNcCys0nbR_tz-1hGg117KuqSVX1Cb5WvUoMB6CMK4yXIcWLvkpwnHoT8iu7mWyt76M35bWDa7BPmMF5fV2AV8ILdyEnMuAdO1fStzbsBqeH45vCSebkDgcprV_3MX-6oqB7A94bzcDtFxIORFUeonPCcYuFYsSi2ZtV09Mn3f6wJBgorAIUNX_3-UoJ561Dq2uCpwVsdAdt43zdftBmNMaazRMhbuHO5qv-08.T5jZa0xenWwFe2WHDr_FGkEPrBrQ4QqbrDDF9xmc0FM&dib_tag=se&keywords=HP+EliteDesk+800+G3&qid=1729313396&s=computers&sprefix=hp+elitedesk+800+g3%2Ccomputers%2C131&sr=1-10) PCs. These little machines work great and boot up very quickly too.
PCs For People is the non-profit vendor i bought it from. They cater to other non-profits and people with limited incomes and they get stuff donated to them that they resale. I got a great price so i won't complain about not getting one like you did. I had a pc with a 2400g before and it def does some gaming. I bought this with the intent to not game and have a tiny dual monitor setup for writing. I have some old 1280x1024 monitors i'm using with it. I sold my gaming pc last night to a man who wanted something inexpensive for his 11 yr old i guess for fortnite. He got 32 gigs of ram, a ryzen 5 4500 and an rx570 for 200$ and showed up at 10pm to surprise his child today. Win-win for everyone. Spending money on gaming isnt condusive to takling care of my cats and i feed 25+ a day on my limited income. cats b4 games i guess.
they are neat machines i think too. I have room for a 2.5 inch drive and 2 nvmes it's practically a home server and a pc in one!
And as already mentioned, this little box is very energy efficient. 8)
You live:
- in Turkey?
- in Japan?
- in a megacity like New York?
Delete the unnecessary mentions. :)
I love cats. 8)
Nice work and nice cat !
Santa Claus did come to town!
Yup, I also had a couple of i5 ones, perfect for KODI and serve-the-home duties; pretty much for everything except gaming.
Not very far on a global scale. :)
I use one for my FreeCAD video tutorials.
I like your FreeCAD videos :)
Oh thank you!
I am really touched to receive this compliment from you. 8)
My Kat Brandy refused to appear. here.
A new mini pc which has generated some good reviews is GMKtec Mini PC N97 G5.
I assume it must be quite loud though.
In the past there was a way to get a refund for windows install if it was unused, but I don't think that still works.
All cad should be free!
As we say in France: it will happen when chickens have teeth. :D
so back in the dinosaur era cad was free? :o :)
I am not sure all cad should be free, but I am rather sure there should be free cad

Hey look i have a dual vesa arm thingy for my little desktop setup. thought i put that shelf too high for my soundbar. i have 3 displayport outputs but nowhere for a third
This looks good. Much like the HP 260 G1 I used for my server. Retired that one a week ago for this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2CZXF8K?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1)
Put a 1TB nvme and bumped it to 64g ram
