Hey
on live boot or after fresh installation of artix internet runs like super fast. when i upgrade and reboot i start to have connection problems. basically its something to do with resolve, cuz for example octopi says cannot resolve after 10000 miliseconds or something.
sometimes i need to refresh one website 5 times to get it loaded
hexchat irc disconnects very often
but it all happens after i upgrade, before upgrade everything is great and amazing experience
Maybe somebody may know what's causing the issue???
I have had a similar probem, it turned out to be a NetworkManager issue in combination with the router.
Go in the network connection setting, and set for IPv4 and IPv6 for method "addresses only" and enter dns server IPs below eg google dns IPs.
nah its not that
i tried that earlier https://www.opennic.org/ < i took ip from there and was the same.
and google dns its not a possibility, if google dns wasnt set by default on systemd, id probably be on some 'evil' distro now ;P.
i did reinstall again and so far so good though not sure if the issue will appear again.
ill add that its good again if i manually disconenct and connect but only for few minutesthough
I had issues with NetworkManager not setting up the ipv4 DNS in /etc/resolv.conf, which sounds similar to what you're having. I traced my problem down to /etc/machine-id being nonexistant or missing.
If it's empty or missing try "dbus-uuidgen > /etc/machine-id" and reboot.
You can always ditch NetworkManager and just use dhcpcd. Never had a problem with that one.
i have that code in that file...
48f71d0bba9918a9ab4113295c0fdf81
i added dbus gonna reboot.
i'll have a read about what it is. Thanks.
what do you mean you added dbus?
oh sorry i thought that xx > xx is like echo my bad.
im reinstalling artix again i basically installed nvidia 415 and after reboot instead of log in box i had black dead screen :D.
Gonna try 390xx maybe. According to dhcpcd i have no idea how to, i tried to install alpine linux few days ago however i didnt understand installation i managed to connect to internet but the i had to choose some interface eth0 or something.
I assume maybe this dhcpcd is something like connecting to internet without any net manager or something via terminal?? And then if i connect to it via terminal i have internet on???
Yeah dhcpcd is a dhcp client. NetworkManager is a lot bigger and fancier, but if you don't need any of those features, I'd say just use dhcpcd. If you're just trying to get an ethernet connection working, it's really simple. Just install dhcpcd and the script for whatever init system you use (openrc or runit), enable the service and you're good to go. You can manage wireless networks with it as well, but that requires some configuration editing and stuff. See the Arch article (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dhcpcd) on it (ignore the systemd-specific stuff of course).
sorry i feel like i am too newbie for this wiki :o
I assume i need to edit .conf file but there's something about mac address. I am not really fan of wikis and wikias...
I suppose i can live with connection problems, which aren't that bad after all. Basically how browser functions here reminds me of nokia e72 that i have got, if i try to connect to some website that processes lots of MB's it will kick me out of the browser. Same thing happens here but it doesn't close the browser, but just resolve thing and i have to manually disconnect or reconnect.
But if i play some online game it won't kick me after all neither i have any lags or whatever. Instead of critizising this i'd rather would like to know why something like that happens because i started to wonder how internet connection is created here, what are the routes and all this stuff, basically how internet operates that i can access website on my laptop via wi-fi and then router and then server??
It's nice because of that and thanks to artix, topic of internet intrigued me :). Before that i never wondered actually how internet is getting to the computer i use. It's nice knowledge.
Of course i use wlan0, but maybe i should try with other internet interfaces but i am worried that if im gonna delete network manager i have i'll have to reinstall.
I only don't understand why when i boot from live cd or before upgrade internet is ok. after i upgrade artix there are problems i have noticed. Same with graphics, after i upgrade i get quite blurry graphics, not like blurry bad, but everything is more clear before i upgrade. I played game battle of wesnoth before upgraded and of course animations and everything were less smooth, but graphics were more clear. After upgrade its smooth but less clear. I like it more before upgrade to be fair.
I am so used to package managers that here on artix i don't know how to behave without one.
The only bad thing about these internet problems is when i connect to irc channels and speak to somebody i often had disconnects it;'s quite frustrating. But maybe i am just not gonna upgrade Artix and see if it is actually any better.
Devuan didn't have any upgrade after installation.
Anyways the reason why i wanna stay with artix not devuan is because battery life on artix is much better, i had xfce on devuan and still it should be good, it was good, but artix is much, much better. There isn't also pulseaudio by default, i use usb audio card and i don't know why but pulseaudio had different sound quality to my ear than pure alsa, i believe it's pure alsa here on Artix. This is another reason.
Is it dhcpcd the only viable choice, how would i have to behave if i had some linux OS without any network manager and wanted to connect to wireless internet via terminal, is dhcpcd the only option???
If you are on openrc, much of the network configuration can be taken directly from the gentoo wiki.
Well technically speaking, wireless networks are handled by wpa_supplicant but dhcpcd has a hook for this so it can automatically connect on boot and all that good stuff. For configuring a wireless network, you're going to want to make a "/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf" file. There's a crapload of options that you can look up and enable if you want to, but a very minimal configuration can get you up and running. All you really need is the name of the network and the password in a config file like so:
network={
ssid="MYSSID"
psk="passphrase"
}
Now obviously, you might not want to store the password in plain text. For a more secure approach, you can run " wpa_passphrase MYSSID passphrase" which will output a minimal config in your terminal. It'll generate a more secure PSK that you can use instead of your password in plain text. Check the manpage (https://linux.die.net/man/5/wpa_supplicant.conf) for some handy examples of minimal configurations.
Oh and to enable the wpa_hook for dhcpcd, you just need to make this symlink.
# ln -s /usr/share/dhcpcd/hooks/10-wpa_supplicant /usr/lib/dhcpcd/dhcpcd-hooks/
That way whenever you start dhcpcd, it'll automatically search your wireless configurations/networks for you.
If you are on runit you must also install and enable dhcpcd-runit, or dhcpcd-openrc for openrc.
It is weird that you make a connection from the live-image so easy and when you install you can't connect.
thanks.
sorry im too drunk now to deal with this, ill read your email tommorow when i wake up up fungalnet, thanks for teaching me how to partition.
It's not just live boot, it's when i upgrade with pacman -Syu or in octopi via upgrade, there are like 236 updates to download. Like now i havent upgraded and internet is perfect but when i upgrade i get blurry graphics (not blurry bad blurry but i noticed theres difference in graphics before i upgraded like i can see shapes dots squares graphics properly before upgrade [edit] i have to say graphics before i update are better than on any linux distro i used before or windows. It is weird indeed. I dont get this, like even letters on internet and fonts are not clear enough and they kill my eyes but now i can see everything fine!!!!). Same with internet it's hyper fast now, but when i upgrade and reboot network connection tricks with me I HAVE NO IDEA WHY.
It's great before i pacman -Syu to be honest. :(((
Thanks for replies yeah wpa_supplicant is okay. Thanks
okay, well...
i changed DNS in network settings disconnected reconnected again and now i have different primary DNS address for ipv4 and ipv6.
not sure if the problem with occur again but so far so good, i think that was dns. i dont know why when i was changing earlier it wasnt doing anything
hexchat hasnt disconnected me so far as well.
So i think that connection problem and nvidia proprietary with bumblebee solved, so now im happy Artix user, finally :)
Thanks
ipv4 185.121.177.177
ipv6 2a05:dfc7:5::53
oh i managed to get it running!!
it was so confusing at first but i made it!!! and the internet is now super ultra fast!!! no loading or whatever!!
i turned networking off in network manager and i typed this in terminal: dhcpcd
[zalew filip]# dhcpcd wlp3s0
wlp3s0: starting wpa_supplicant
wlp3s0: waiting for carrier
wlp3s0: carrier acquired
DUID 00:04:95:cb:dd:13:88:96:a8:41:bd:6d:a8:1e:84:35:b6:ee
wlp3s0: IAID e3:98:2e:03
wlp3s0: adding address fe80::aeda:6e69:2743:6226
wlp3s0: rebinding lease of 192.168.0.12
wlp3s0: probing address 192.168.0.12/24
wlp3s0: soliciting an IPv6 router
wlp3s0: leased 192.168.0.12 for 86400 seconds
wlp3s0: adding route to 192.168.0.0/24
wlp3s0: adding default route via 192.168.0.1
forked to background, child pid 3454
then i typed ping -c duckduckgo.com but i get this error
[zalew filip]# ping -c duckduckgo.com
ping: bad number of packets to transmit.
anyway so damn easy to set it up!!! and when i wrote this topic it was very hard
i did what i seen in post #11!!! its amazing!!! now i can delete networkmanager
anyway thank you very much for this :). It's my first time when i connected managed to get wireless connection via terminal!! Thanks, thank you!! :D OH DAMN
maybe if its so easy i can maybe install some base linux distro ;D
THANKS AGAIN for telling me what to do Dudemanguy
Thanks!!
sorry i still get resolve problems even though im using dhcpcd ;//
Is it not connecting for you? You didn't say so in the steps that you mentioned, but you need to enable the wpa_supplicant hook for dhcpcd to work with wireless device. In Arch/Artix, it's just a simple symlink.
# ln -s /usr/share/dhcpcd/hooks/10-wpa_supplicant /usr/lib/dhcpcd/dhcpcd-hooks/
You will also need to make a /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf file like I mentioned earlier. To get your internet up and running you only need to have this in it.
network={
ssid="MYSSID"
psk="passphrase"
}
Replace "MYSSID" and "passphrase" with the name of your network and the password of course. If that works for you, you can go back and replace the passphrase with a more secure hash later.
If you do all that, you can then start dhcpcd (either manually with "dhcpcd wlp3s0" like you did earlier or with openrc/runit) and it should work.
yeah exactly, i hooked and configured.
the issue i have here isn't related to connection but to some network, when i try pacman sometimes apps won't download it says something 10000 miliseconds resolved something like this browser as well. but online game that i play always have connection
but for example it will disconnect me from hexchat channels every fine minutes.
I just wonder why that happens.
I deleted network manager and during boot it connects me with dhcpcd, so yeah i managed that :P.
So it's like i have connection but usually for example while net browsing i get this error resolution failed or something and sometimes i can't get to website for like 10 minutes but i still have connection, connection is ok, it seems like it's refusing connection to http or something not sure.
but anyways i don't really mind these problems because apart from this Artix is amazing. It's completely different experience to windows for example, uhh i used windows for long time.
i wanted to delete networkmanager anyway, because sometimes i take the laptop somewhere to watch movies and it can take liek 3 hours, but i think windows was only 1 but 4 hours would be cool, i use vlc for watching movies, perhaps it consumes much resources, i wonder what else can be done to improve battery.
Thanks ;)
oh for example yesterday i had that, i managed to get into e-mail and go to inbox and compose but when i pressed send i had resolve problem again and i lost email.
i believe its better to have email client, but my current email won't let me use pop for sending messages, because it's freeware.
hey
sorry for creating double posts
here is something new i noticed. if i type website name in my browser and it will load but be stuck again so website wont load if i type
[zalew filip]# dhcpcd
sending commands to master dhcpcd process
and then website will load. then again some website wont load and if i type dhcpcd it will load
if pacman -Syyu says 10000 miliseconds cannot resolve something if i type dhcpcd it will fix this issue.
if i cant connect to something typing dhcpcd all the time in terminal fix this.
so im not sure why that happens. why if i have internet connection and i wanna get into certain websites but the it will freeze, typing dhcpcd in terminal fixes this problem but not completely only for this website ;///.
okay i investigated the problem further
basically last week i installed manjaro openbox for one day and i noticed there was similar error with resolve connection
few days ago i installed arch linux and it happens as well ;///. Same situation that i get here on artix.
however there is one thing, because i install artix lxqt.iso, internet runs perfectly fresh after installation
however when i pacman -Syyu i think my laptop gets some packages from arch repositories that causes the issue, not just artix but on every arch distro (artix, manjaro, arch). So it is problem that comes from Arch Linux, not from Artix.
The reason why i dont get any problems with internet fresh after installation of Artix is probably that your .iso is from some date before arch put something that gives me resolve problems. ;/
it should be related to arch linux but i dont think they will help me.
It's not nice because it seems like i am not able to use any arch linux distro for comfortably internet browsing on this setup (laptop and wi-fi).
So i may say the problem is solved, because it's not related to Artix, but to Arch in general. But why then i don't know.
edit: debian based distros run just fine...
maybe the problem occurs cuz i upgrade using old keyrings... dunno
ping -c duckduckgo.com show me same message as you.
but my internet works normally (he works)
ping duckduckgo.com
PING duckduckgo.com (23.21.193.169) 56(84) bytes of data.

that can do kernel (or programs), debian can use older kernel (programs), which works better or have not a bug...
hey
thanks for response. since i installed artix but messed something on it i have pkg corrupted or something keyrings mess... so i can't pacman Syyu... since its fresh installation im gonna reinstall it because im not linux admistrator and i havent got anything on it anyway and reinstallation takes shorter time than trying to fix keyrings... but i have lots of partitions i simply cant find energy for this now.
but since i have the same problem on arch linux that i am on at the moment, so i surfed internet for a bit and then i got on some websites that require lots of data to downloaded and again i go on website and it's trying to connect but it won't... but in the meantime i have online game on and it's connected to internet all the time it doesnt disconnect. but issues i have on arch are the same ones that i have on artix or had on manjaro
so i typed ping duckduckgo.com on arch linux and this is what it responded back
ping: duckduckgo.com: Temporary failure in name resolution
root has logged off pts/0 from :0.
it is issue related to this resolution because on artix when i was using gnu icecat and browsing internet i had error called err_resolution_name_failed or something like this. im not sure what it is but it's arch linux that causing my laptop have this kind of problems ;/.
edit: I should mention that i never used any network managers on arch linux i use wpa_supplicant and dhcpcd like some good human being advised me in this topic :)
Name resolution failure most likely comes from your /etc/resolv.cof. Can you paste it here? Also, once you get this error, try to edit the file and put as a first line
nameserver 1.1.1.1
and see if it works.
okay well etc/resolv.conf had some opennic DNS. i had it on artix as well as i had it on arch when problem occured.
however since arch linux is systemd i went into /etc/systemd/resolved.conf and i noticed there were ipv4 and ipv6 dns set for 1.1.1.1 and google 8.8.8.8 and then ipv6.
so i deleted google dns from systemd resolved conf left only 1.1.1.1
same with /etc/resolv.conf i deleted opennic DNS and changed it to 1.1.1.1
but it seems like problems still remains
ping: duckduckgo.com: Temporary failure in name resolution
# Generated by resolvconf
nameserver 1.1.1.1
same on systemd etc resolved.conf fallback DNS 1.1.1.1
if i go to terminal and type dhcpcd when that happens i get this:
# dhcpcd
dev: loaded udev
DUID 00:04:95:cb:dd:13:188:96:a8:41:bd:6d:a8:1e:84:35:b6:ee

wlp3s0:adding default route via 192.168.0.1
forked to background, child pid 2109
And then it will load the website that doesnt wanna get connected but then i visit for more websites and problem happens again.
On artix i had to type dhcpcd in terminal all the time to connect to certain websites.
and its okay but just for a bit
this is when i boot into arch and connect to internet straight after boot
root@archiso ~/Downloads # dhcpcd wlp3s0

wlp3s0: waiting for carrier

but since this is arch linux not artix, im gonna install Artix again, perform pacman -Syyu, change DNS is /etc/resolv.conf and do some tests and ill see if problem occurs after some time of web browsing or using octopi (cuz even octopi had resolve problems and that was crap).
It's a shame that something like that happened because artix is great, i even installed all games on wine, liked to tweak and all this stuff, however i got annoyed that i couldnt browse internet.
but it seems like problem still happens because i just typed ping duckduckgo.com and
1 root@archiso /etc/systemd # ping duckduckgo.com :(
ping: duckduckgo.com: Temporary failure in name resolution
it seems like sometimes it will connect and sometimes it will say temporary failure in name resolution. i dont know what that is but i cant use arch distros comfortably because of this... i havent got access to router since its sharehouse (being emmigrant has its negative sides...). normally i would use wired internet not wireless. but all devices like smartphones, windows laptops, debian distros, fedora all these distros run okay, but there is just problem with arch distros.
i think i got annoyed and got rid of artix because i wrote long email to somebody and i pressed send and err_resolution_failed and i lost this email ;/. but its not artix, its arch, cuz as i said i even installed manjaro openbox few days ago and i noticed i have resolve problems as well!!! but manjaro has all these google dns set by default!! so something like that shouldnt be happening!!
so i doubt its resolve conf because when i was on devuan or even linux mint, like linux mint didnt have any dns in /etc/systemd/resolved.conf and i think in /etc/resolv.conf mint had my local dns 192.0 something. same on devuan. and problem never occured.
and weird thing is that when i install artix lxqt.iso by gui installer. internet runs great till as i said i perform pacman -Syyu. it happens both on runnit and openrc
then some packages gets downloaded from arch linux repos that cause the issue, i know that for sure, but i dont knwo what it is!!!
damn you arch devs!! :D
ok i disabled arch repos in pacman.conf and left artix ones only. from 2100mb it went to 1800mb. now performing pacman -Syu im gonna find out now if problem happens again ;). im going to change dns in resolv.conf for 1.1.1.1 as well.
thanks for help!!
edit: ok that wasnt good idea because i made mess with icons ;P. so upgraded again with arch repos enabled
edit: okay well it seems like its ok for now so im gonna mark for solved
its a shame that i wrote all these posts just to change dns into 1.1.1.1
so marking as solved if problem occurs again im gonna type here.
i tried opennic dns earlier but the problem was similar so maybe 1.1.1.1 will fix this. we'll see
thanks.
it happens all the time and nameserver in resolv.conf is 1.1.1.1
i get disconnected from counter strike it say it cant connect to vac
its annoying so much ;/. same with net browsing
i give up i dont wanna go back to debian ;/
edit: i noticed something is addin 192.0.0xxxxx to resolv conf i dont know why ;/
well i decided to not upgrade distro with pacman -Syyu and internet is blazing fast and no resolving problems or whatsoever.
artix is really nice distro but its hard to maitain, because lets say i download game wesnoth or torrent client and its so easy here to download one package that kills other packages and blah ;P. so unless i know what im doing im not gonna download anything specific to create mess...
oh my god so many posts, im sorry people. Thanks as well ;). I dont know why internet on artix is so blazing fast and has rapid speed but after i pacman -Syyu its not just resolve problems but few times slowlier too... :D
so i mark this as solved ;).
Ok sorry that i wrote so many blabla posts here.
But i don't wanna create topic cuz there's something wrong with dhcpcd and wlp3s0 for me.
And when i installed arch linux yesterday, i was able to create hook without any probs and connect to dhcpcd wlp3s0 (still during installation to download updates).
I also used manjaro yesterday and two days ago (although i had to delete it because i think it's grub did a bit unwanted mess or maybe that was me).
But on artix i can't turn it on. In the past i was able to set it up with this simple config, but now it will say no ctrl interface defined
If i define ctrl interface: ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant it will say started wpa supplicant but then getting carrier and then i get dhcpcd timed out exited.
I am not sure what's causing it, i tried to search for solutions but there aren't many of them i could find and nothing has helped.
Yesterday i did this trick i deleted network-manager after i had to reinstall /root again and that was before i even connected to internet and it happened, however manjaro earlier or arch later was ok using dhcpcd
atm. i decided to try install base of distro for first time, but something is wrong and it will say dhcpcd timed out all the time and exited.
So i wonder why is this happening it says theres no carrier or something...
but i just did it while networkmanager was on and it run just fine. I suspect its something in artix conf that will say networkmanager is a carrier or something???
But if i try to dhcpcd wlp3s0 before i make a connection with networkmanager then i get this error...
however i dont know why i cant make a connection during base openRC installation :(
The 'dhcpcd timeout' error means that your wireless card lost connection with the access point. If this doesn't happen with Arch or Manjaro, then your wifi card doesn't work as it should with Artix which might be because it needs special firmware (most broadcomm cards do).
What's the output of lspci|grep -i net?
Also, install hwdetect and post the output of hwdetect --show-net
Hey, thank you for fast response :).
Well i do this trick to make dhcpcd usable, i basically create hook (wpa_supplicant and dhcpcd) and edit /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf and i manage to get connection via dhcpcd interface (wlp3s0) while networkmanager is running and connected to wireless hotspot. If i don't connect to the connection using networkmanager then i get 'dhcpcd timeout' error. So i basically after fresh installation of /root what i do is connect to the hotspot using networkmanager and then dhcpcd will go through and connect me to it and i can then remove networkmanager and everything gonna be okay then and can use dhcpcd forever after this.
However it gets tricky when i tried to install artix base openrc today. I'v looked up wikis on gentoo but no luck. wpa_supplicant -B -i... command won't connect me as well... So i am not sure why networkmanager gets no problem with connecting to the hotspot but dhcpcd is tricky.
And i also was installing arch linux yesterday and majaro few days ago and i was able to configure dhcpcd and connect to it without any problem (while still in tty1 prompt).
So this is output of lspi|grep -i net
# lspci|grep -i net
03:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 31)
04:00.1 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 12)
and hwdetect --show-net
# hwdetect --show-net

.
You may be right about firmware because i remember when i installed trisquel os and pureOS some derivatives of gnu.org.
Both of these distros wouldn't create any wireless scan because it didn't have any drivers, i think this wireless card here may be crapware stuff but not sure.
I was able to download drivers for it and make wifi run on pureOS, however Trisquel was no luck.
I keep thinking almost all the time about buying some nice USB wireless adapter.... I wonder if that would be better than the card provided with laptop.
Atheros cards are well and fully supported and I'm running out of ideas. Save /etc/wpa_supplicant from Arch or Manjaro somewhere and copy it over to Artix.
i have done it before ;).
i run out of ideas as well... Especially because if i don't set up watch -n10 -x dhcpcd wlp3s0 after i get carrier then i get resolve problems all the time on artix, arch or even manjaro... same issue... I guess i have to struggle with it and try to get proper wired connection at some point in the future...
I think that wireless is pain anyways and for some reason i never felt like this, but after i installed artix for first time i slowly started to become anti wifi and i slowly more and more dislike it... I'm not really into internet stuff but i think wifi is a joke.
Well today i installed arch linux but then i can't configure grub... It's too much problems. And manjaro has it's own grub and i don't like this fact. I wanted to try install base linux for first time, and obviously life happens and 1) don't have access to wired internet 2) setting up wifi in my case is pain.
I wondered if base .iso of artix has something from networkmanager... Well internet and all this stuff here on arch is very big mistery to me anyways... But then what else is there for me to use?? Devuan?? :PP.
And perhaps maybe it's easy to set up wireless connection but i think for linuxing and stuff wired is the way to go... Gotta aim for it ;). It's a shame that internet is so expensive nowadays. 30 or 40 pounds a month???
edit1: maybe simply dhcpcd service is off and i need to turn it on??
edit2: i also think that this wireless adapter i have here needs non-free drivers.
edit3: this is what happens when i try to connect using wpa supplicant
# wpa_supplicant -B -i wlp3s0 -c <(wpa_passphrase "correctssid" "correctpassword")

1 dhcpcd should be a running service (depending on whether you are on runit or openrc look it up on the wiki for openrc/runit)
2 the drawback of running wifi cards that only properly run on non-free firmware ... which is almost all. (read up on the hyperbola site what it takes to run wifi with free software).
3 you might need a more expert advise than I can help you with. Are you running this as user or root? Does /etc/group have you as network authorized? Wild guess. Do you get the same error running the same command with $ sudo wpa.....
For group do:
$ cat /etc/group | grep netw
you should be getting something along these lines:
network:x:90:cynicfm (or whatever your user name is)
There are adapters you can buy that can plug next to your router in a electrical outlet where an ethernet cable goes in and a twin adapter next to your laptop in the same home/small office area that you plug another ethernet cable to. Also there are wifi repeaters/eth adapters that can be programmed to login to the wifi through the browser and you connect through cable to them, so no wifi or firmware for wifi needed on the pc.
Otherwise you must identify the specific chip that is in your wifi card and look for the appropriate firmware. Your wifi card may be made by Zastava but your chip may be made by realtek. You also need the specific chip number to locate the appropriate firmware family that covers it.
Do you have net-tools installed?
What does # ifconfig show?
Yeah, i was on hyperbola wiki yesterday and read all stuff on it.
Of course as root, especially when i boot into base artix openrc iso it's all root before i get to installation. But if i install artix lxqt i have same thing, but if i connect to internet using networkmanager i can then use dhcpcd without any problems... Like i use dhcpcd wlp3s0 while networkmanager made a connection.
I think i may get one of these usb wireless adapters. I had one before but i lost it somewhere ;(.

ok well
i think the reason why i get these resolve problems is something to do with kernel and ath10k drivers which i may try configure and see if that changes anything.
and the reason why i had problems with dhcpcd wlp3s0 on artix was because rfkill, wlan was softblocked, i just realised this.
I think that's it i know why the issue persists. It's weird because it happens on every arch based distro (now running obarun) but it's fine i am okay.
Outside hardware or ‘‘ifconfig’’ or ‘‘wpa’’ issues, always check your /etc/resolv.conf and always change to loopbacks like 8.8.8.8 or 192.168.0.1 under DHCP, if static address the same one should also appear in /etc/resolv.conf. :)
