Title: Wanting to set up Secure Boot ... sbctl is missing
Post by: kopecky on 23 February 2025, 19:10:51
Hey pals. I wanted to up my Artix by setting up a Secure Boot so I looked up some guides on how to do that. Both Arch wiki and Artix forum posts utilize package called 'sbctl'.

However the package is not in the Artix repos. Apparently it used to, but not any more. I could find it in AUR, but I'm hesitant to install it from there.

How have you set up Secure Boot?

Perhaps you should have used pacman instead, https://packages.artixlinux.org only gets updated hourly.

I see. Thank you.

(Out of curiosity: was it a coincidence that it was published in repos at the same time as I've posted this or did you publish it in response to my 'bug report' ?)

We tend to pamper our users, especially if they aren't rude and ask nicely.
