Title: [solved] Wrong hashes for older Isos?
Post by: Thats_me on 04 June 2025, 11:18:27
Hello,

I am confused.
https://iso.artixlinux.org/archived-isos.php

Download Version artix-xfce-openrc-20240823-x86_64.iso
But the Hash is shown for
artix-xfce-openrc-20230814-x86_64.iso

Where can I find the right SHA256 sum?

EDIT. The hash wich ist shown is
19a71ab5460614e7dce23021082008e8cd0a05e5c5f3dc85044b947047551880

According to the Wayback Machine (https://web.archive.org/web/20240831223400/https://artixlinux.org/download.php) it's:
19a71ab5460614e7dce23021082008e8cd0a05e5c5f3dc85044b947047551880 artix-xfce-openrc-20240823-x86_64.iso

But you'd have to trust that the wayback machines archive hasn't been hacked in preparation for this very day.  :o

Edit:
Just noticed the hash is the same. I guess the name was just wrong in the sha256sums file on the archive page. Because the hash matches.

Thanks for quick answer.

Goog idea to use archive.org ;) I sometimes do this also, but in this case I  have not thought about.

So the hash I got schuld be right.
