Recently, while doing an upgrade (using yay) I noticed this message about systemctl:
Package (32) Old Version New Version Net Change Download Size
---snip---
galaxy/timeshift 24.06.6-1 25.07.4-1 0.04 MiB 0.74 MiB
---snip---
(25/32) upgrading timeshift [###################################################] 100%
/tmp/alpm_ud5Fj2/.INSTALL: line 2: systemctl: command not found
TimeShift scheduled backups require the cronie.service to be running.
Try:
systemctl enable --now cronie.service
Besides this, there aren't any issues with timeshift.
Now, the same thing has happened before, but was fixed after an update: https://forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topic,7500.msg45108.html
Could one of the maintainers please re-check the package?
Thank you in advance! :)
Hey, I pushed the fix. Thanks for the heads-up!

Yup, update to 25.07.4-1.1 solved it.
Thanks!
