Issues with other drives since artix installation 29 August 2020, 17:37:46 Hello artix community, happy to be joining the community. I have 4 drives on my system, a sata ssd that windows 10 lives on, a samsunfg ssd that i installed artix to, a nvme ssd that void linux lives on and a toshiba storage drive that has some games installed on it for windows 10. After installing artix with runit i noticed when booting from my bios that only artix and my windows 10 drive are available to boot into. I booted into my windows drive and after a few minutes i get a green screen and my system reboots into artix linux. during my installation i made sure to do a lsblk and i am positive that i was installing artix to /dev/sda which was my samsung drive, but when i check lsblk now in my artix install it shows that my artix is installed to /dev/sdb sdb1 is 200M /boot/efi and my sdb2 is where artix lives at /. lsblk is now showing that sda is my toshiba drive. Where did i err? What steps may i take to remedy this problem? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much artix community. lsblk shows that all my drives are there but grub menu only shows that i can boot into artix.

Re: Issues with other drives since artix installation Reply #2 – 03 September 2020, 19:27:54 Having more than one disk drive doesn't guarantee fixed letter assignment by the kernel. You should use either labels or UUIDs instead of letters (sda, sdb etc).
