Yes. 5.11 hardened works very well. No problems.

so install linux-lts and stay on older LTS kernel...
For your old computer there is no need for the latest kernel that is not always perfectly tuned

If you want stability, use LTS if you want the latest features for the cost of possible problems, use the latest kernel ... Kernel philosophy is simple
