[FIXED] Packages archive didn't update since 15 June 26 June 2022, 19:11:29 Hello. Something happened to the archive again. Can you fix it?offtop:I don't know if anyone else figured it out.I point pacman through pacman.conf to the archive site, so that I don't have to update the system every time I need to install something new, make a pacman -Syu package stuff. Very comfortably. And when I want to update, usually once a month, I switch pacman to mirrors so as not to give a big load on the archive. Last Edit: 28 June 2022, 11:33:44 by nous

Re: Packages archive didn't update since 15 June Reply #5 – 27 June 2022, 20:15:38 I'm thinking this should be the default setup for artix and then people who require daily updates should have to change to those... and maybe even pay for the privilege of daily updates... would certainly ease the forums of updates broke my system threads and artixbot keys not working such and such.. 1 Likes

Mirrors will not be used. If only the mirrors also have the artix archive structure, then the problem of load will not matter. 1 Likes

Empty folders have been removed from 16 to 26 June. And the folder was created on June 27th. But it's empty. Also Week folder broken. Last Edit: 27 June 2022, 21:16:44 by vazh2100
Re: Packages archive didn't update since 15 June Reply #8 – 28 June 2022, 04:55:43 I think it would save devs a lot of work if artix was desgined to autoupdate from the monthly archive via a cron job and if anyone wanted to update weekly or daily they would have to make the change themselves. 1 Likes

And a wiki article should be written about this + about the importance of a backup before updating, so that users understand how to do a system update. 1 Likes
Re: Packages archive didn't update since 15 June Reply #10 – 28 June 2022, 11:33:32 Fixed. The procedure for using the archive with pacman is explained at the Arch wiki and applies verbatim to Artix (well, except for the repo names). 4 Likes
