Nevermind, sounds like you are chrooted and trying to update the system, disregard this post.

From a USB live session, can you access the harddrive base / to view it?

Does the error occur at artix-chroot, or later trying to issue commands after successfully "artix-chroot-ed"?

I have access to the harddrive in artix-chroot yes, issue is that it won't let me do pacman commands. In the console I can do commands like vim but not pacman.

The error

(1/2) Refreshing PackageKit. . .
Error connecting: Could not connect: No such file or directory
error: command failed to execute correctly
(2/2) Updating the info directory file . . .

Apparently means nothing because I can still install / remove things, just found that out.

I still can't boot into GRUB I get

unknown filesystem
entering rescue mode . . .
grub rescue>

No joke though this  computer is cursed. I've got Artix installed on a couple computers and it works just fine but this one always fucks up once a month idk why.
