Re: [SOLVED] Something is Missing in Artix Reply #7 – 06 April 2024, 02:45:00 Just to put a final cap on this subject.......Today's update (4-5-2024) put me back to square one....only one resolution listed.Checking the pacman log I see "xf86-video-intel" was updated. And sure enough the update that set things right (4-2-2024) also included "xf86-video-intel".So I deleted it, rebooted, and all is right again. We'll see where this goes I guess.
Re: [SOLVED] Something is Missing in Artix Reply #8 – 06 April 2024, 16:37:04 Read this manual. You should delete xf86-video-intel.Quote1.The modesetting driver included in the xorg-server package is the recommended choice for Gen 4 hardware and later. It uses the DRI driver for acceleration via glamor.2.The xf86-video-intel package provides the legacy intel DDX driver from Gen 2 to Gen 9 hardware. This package is generally not recommended, see note below. 1 Likes

Re: [SOLVED] Something is Missing in Artix Reply #10 – 13 April 2024, 02:48:58 it helps but honestly, this is not the kind of thing worth learning. 5 years from now it will be ancient history. These are the kind of things that you hope just works.
