It's not possible, our ISOs aren't designed to offer persistence. I'm working on something, but don't hold your breath.

When I first saw this, I thought there must be a better way so I wouldn't bother to say it! But what I often do is make notes in a text file on another laptop of the procedures I follow, or even in the installer iso, and transfer things in and out of there by USB stick, like config files, and take photos of screen content sometimes. Also if you make an installation with all your settings you can then copy the partition contents to another machine using "cp -a", chroot in, fix fstab, grub things, mkinitcpio and you have your preconfigured copy if you want to roll out multiple identical installations.  You can also partition and install on a USB external HDD or USB stick (2.0 sticks can be a bit slow though) which can be made bootable like any normal installation and works just like one. On my E7470 I have to go into BIOS setup and then just click exit to give an old spinning disk HDD in an external enclosure a chance to get going first if I want to boot from that, otherwise it goes to the internal NVME drive before that has come up to speed  :D

I find it rather strange that you still haven't thought of building your own *.iso.
