Oldest machines

As I have a new router on the way I have to start practising setting up openwrt with a standalone machine.

I have an old MSI Wind netbook (originally badged as an Advent machine). Since the demise of 32 bit Arch linux I run archlinux-32 on it. I vaguely remember it came with windows of some sort, but I remember quickly putting crunchbang on it and later archbang.

I forget exactly when I bought it, but I joined the MSI Wind forum in Oct 2008. So this machine is at least 16 years old.

It works fine, but the hard disk is quite slow.  I might purchase a 2.5 in sata ssd for it.

What old hardware do you still have/use?

i had a long message.  cat erased it in a second flat.  you should thank them i didnt bore you with such a reply.  i have nothing interesting really.  i cant keep old tech as the cats will chew on the cords and render it useless.

I too have a cat. It is a love hate relationship and is hindered by an addiction to treats (dreamies) acquired in the shelter (famous Battersea Cats And Dogs Home). Loves youtub cat tv :)
