Can we get Kicad and its dependencies added to the repo ..?

You can get kicad from Extra.

In /etc/pacman.conf:

[extra]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist-arch

Off the top of my head, I don't know which package has mirrorlist-arch. Possibly pamac?
