MATE/LXDE ISO 22 September 2019, 07:27:13 Hello,I installed MATE/LXDE ISO , removed MATE , installed Openbox and configured all the needed settings for openbox but neither lightdm options nor sddm options show Openbox , it only shows LXDE to be able to login to. What am I missing to do here?
Re: MATE/LXDE ISO Reply #1 – 22 September 2019, 13:01:54 Login Managers (sddm, lightdm) get their list of available desktop environments from .desktop files in /usr/share/xsessions/. There should be .desktop files for lxde and openbox. I havent installed openbox in Artix. But in other distros, the openbox package installs its desktop file into /usr/share/xsessions/. What am I missing to do here?I vaguely remember having removed openbox.desktop from /usr/share/xsessions/ in the ISO, because (in the live ISO context) openbox is only used by LXDE and not fully configured (which resulted in unexpected behaviour if selected from the login screen). I believe the solution is to re-install openbox and thus restoring openbox.desktop. Please, let us know if that fixed it.
