Cinnamon, volume keys don't work sometimes

Hello, i'm using Cinnamon DE on a base Artix install, using pipewire instead of pulseaudio, launching the pipewire session through a startup script (Cinnamon supports those) each time the DE boots up and the problem is that most of the time the volume up/down keys don't work, like you press them and there's neither GUI feedback nor volume change.
As i'm aware that cinnamon doesn't officially support pipewire as a sound system, maybe it is expected that volume keys would be buggy. However, in case someone knows a bit about how DEs handle these shortcut keys or about DE-pipewire interaction, i'd like to ask for help on this problem.
Perhaps i could be launching pipewire in a cleaner way? Or file a bug report to the cinnamon devs?
