No sound with a plugable USB Audio Adaptor.

I have a C-Media Electronics, Inc. Audio Adaptor (unitek y-247A) that is NOT recognized.  The computer is an Intel NUC with 8gb ram and a 256k SSD.  Sound is fine with Linus Mint 20.1 Mate, Solus 4.1 Mate, and Void Mate.   In Sound Preferences there's no Hardware device listed to configure.
Can someone show me how to add this Adaptor to the system?  Thanks, 2jcm
