Re: Proxy Tor does not start Reply #1 – 22 May 2021, 01:36:13 I just pushed a updated version in galaxy-gremlins repo if you can test that and see if it works as it should. After enabling, without updating whole system to galaxy-gremlins you can do 'pacman -Sy tor-openrc'Edit: May take a moment for mirrors to sync, but in my testing it seems to work w/o error. Re: [SOLVED] Proxy Tor does not start Reply #4 – 25 June 2021, 08:43:42 using tor with s6/lxde image, but daemon doesn't start on boot.. messages : Quote[warn] /var/lib/tor is not owned by this user (root, 0) but by tor (43). Perhaps you are running Tor as the wrong user?[warn] Failed to parse/validate config: Couldn't create private data directory "/var/lib/tor"at the moment i'm just deleting /var/lib/tor each time (just using tor as a proxy, no HS or anything) and restart tor service.probably related to this message as well : Quote[warn] You are running Tor as root. You don't need to, and you probably shouldn't.any ideas on how to fix that?thanks.
Re: [SOLVED] Proxy Tor does not start Reply #5 – 25 June 2021, 15:43:57 You should have made a new thread since this one is already solved. Anyway that's an issue with the tor-s6 script. I just pushed an update to fix it. When you get the new tor-s6 package, delete the /var/lib/tor directory once and then after that it should work. 1 Likes
