linux-ck alert 14 February 2018, 17:45:07 For those who have been running linux-ck and who occasionally may be using yaourt- or pamac- be careful because during an update the linux-ck 4.14.19 exists in AUR while in our repositories is left as 4.14.18And, you may not want to do that (it takes a while to compile a kernel and it may eventually not run as well as the one built for Artix. It seems as in this round the linux-ck kernel is under-maintained. Use linux-lts (4.14.19) and linux (4.15.3) from gremlins or the previous versions from system. This is not an official announcement, this is my understanding of things but because in the past months things got to testing (gremlins) way before they appeared in AUR it is a new pattern of possible mistakes. And hopefully you have not wiped your cache. 1 Likes

Re: linux-ck alert Reply #2 – 19 February 2018, 09:39:54 Based on what i read on the network...The developer which was doing linux-ck is lost in new tools and does not have time or will to learn them....https://github.com/artix-linux/system/issues/70#issuecomment-365459953
Re: linux-ck alert Reply #3 – 19 February 2018, 21:24:59 I've been using -ck almost 100% of the time as it never seemed to run into trouble and seemed very responsive. I am not sure I have the ability to built one from source and at the rate of development I don't think I will be doing it every week. So I just moved on to the plain linux kernel.

Re: linux-ck alert Reply #5 – 20 February 2018, 21:21:40 I'll see if we can bring linux-pf into the repos instead, which contains the same patchsets (and more) and I used to maintain on the AUR some years back. People who absolutely prefer linux-ck can use its unofficial repo.
