Can someone please explain how to  manage this error and possibly if you see any other inconsistencies where you might want to share some wisdome.
Oh, changing filenames like sudo mv /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.1 /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.1_old only causes paru to screem that it couldn find the file.

Some AUR package has already installed /usr/lib/libssl.so.1.1 - find which (pacman -Qo /usr/lib/libssl.so.1.1) and remove it before updating. In you case, paru seems to have already pulled it somehow, so I think '--overwrite=/usr/lib/libssl.so.1.1' is the fastest way to fix this. In both Arch and Artix, pacman wrappers are not really supported, but since you asked nicely...

I appreciete the help. But the culprit was elsewhere. Not long before my update problems with paru emerged I did the symlinking of pacman pkg folder, which is a noob way of messing up your pacman. I recovered from that, but since that time paru had this ssl issue. I eventually found the package responsible, which in my case was, I think  "system/openssl-1.1 1.1.1.s-4" which I  had to manually rebuild the database for with something alongside
Code: [Select]
sudo pacman -S --dbonly system/openssl-1.1 1.1.1.s-4
if i remember correctly.
