[SOLVED] High CPU usage with glib2-2.74.1 and gnome-keyring-42.1

Hello,

I am not sure to post this on the right board. After upgrading my system, my CPU usage was quite high without doing anything. The gnome-keyring-daemon process was using approximately 25% of the CPU.
I did not try to fix the current packages and only solved it by downgrading to gnome-keyring-40.0 and glib2-2.74.0-2 (the last versions I had in my package cache).
I am using XFCE desktop if this can help for anything.

Edit: as Dudemanguy pointed out in his answer, the issue is reported and downgrading glib2 to version 2.74.0-2 is enough to solve the problem until there is a patch.

It appears to be an upstream issue.

I use XFCE and SDDM and it's been a long time since I removed gnome-keyring.
I just have artix-keyring and archlinux-keyring

I know, my answer is pointless... :-[

To be honest, I do not know all the softwares using gnome-keyring. I only know that NetworkManager needs it to store the encrypted passwords (I am using the “only store it for this user” setting).

Artix-keyring and archlinux-keyring contain the signatures of the distro developers (to check packages etc.), while gnome-keyring is a collection of tools to manage secrets/passwords/keys. They have different purposes

Thank you for that clarification.
Maybe I should have clarified: I use connman and I absolutely don't miss gnome-keyring.

This problem was temporarily solved by keeping glib2 to version 2.74.0 and definitely solved by updating glib2 to version 2.76.1 which currently is in the repositories.
