Grub is weird but looks fine 07 August 2023, 06:37:06 nothing boots but liquorix kernel not lts not linux kernel neither of my 2 windows installs (don't ask). only linux-lqx boots. both artix kernel boots report that root is not present. both windows install report back not a valid root device? all i did was turn on virtualization in the bios???!!!???!!!
Re: Grub is weird but looks fine Reply #1 – 07 August 2023, 14:32:04 I found some options in the virtualization section of my BIOS caused problems and stopped booting, not everything related to it needs to be turned on to enable a vm to work. Other than that, you could try things like reinstalling GRUB, run update-grub, check fstab, run mkinitcpio -P, check BIOS EFI boot settings, possibly repeat some of those steps in a different order to make sure everything has been picked up correctly for grub.cfg and inside the kernel image? 1 Likes
