Question about podman on OpenRC

Hello,
I need to run some proprietary code in a container, so I thought that podman would be good for that as it is rootles.

I have heard that it relies heavily on systemd. The package in the repos, so I assume it works.

My question is how well? Did anyone use podman under OpenRC?
