libusbmuxd broken plasma

The libusbmuxd update has broken my plasma desktop. In order to recover it I had to link version 7 to version 6 of the libusbmuxd-2.0.so library.

Best regards.

Same here. I had to revert to previous version.

I've faced with same issue too. Downgrading libusbmuxd to 2.0.2-3 solved the problem.

I just came here to say the same.
The symptom was an unresponsive system and then no auto-login nor any way to login graphically.
I've reverted the package back to fix the problem.

same here :p

i did the full upgrade (in a virtual machine, fortunately) with pacman -Syu then rebooted
and once on the sddm login screen, i cant login anymore.
Going to a tty by hitting ctrl-alt-f1, then downgrade libusbmuxd
Code: [Select]
sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/libusbmuxd-2.0.2-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
and reboot
everythinkg works again :)

So for now, i edited /etc/pacman.conf and added
Code: [Select]
IgnorePkg = lilbusbmuxd

It's fixed already, you can fully update your systems.

For future reference, is there a way to get the older version of the program aside local cache? I didn't have it on my system and afaik artix mirrors only have the latest version and there's no archive like arch has

That's strange, I couldn't find anything about an artix archive when I searched for it, and even with your link it doesn't load, I'll try it again later and keep it in mind for any future usage.

strangely, i applied all the latest updates, excluging the latest libusbmuxd (in a vm), rebooted, and same issue again. cant login.
after applying the last update for libusbmxd and reboot, no problem anymore.
so maybe something else was involved ?

edit: applied all the updates including libusbmuxd on my personnal desktop, rebooted, and that went well, no issue anymore :)
