Torrc not Valid

Hai all,

I installed tor and tor-openrc. Then (as root) modified torrc located in /etc/tor  and executed /etc/init.d/tor start. This shows:

tor               | * Tor configuration (/etc/tor/torrc) is not valid.
tor               | * Example is in /etc/tor/torrc.sample
tor               | * ERROR: tor failed to start

As root I ran sudo -u tor tor --verify-config which returned:

Configuration was valid

Tor is working fine here. Whatever you changed in /etc/tor/torrc must be in error.

Tor is very sensitive to rights and ownership, so maybe by editing you changed something.
I'd do a total removal and reinstallation.
