Make/replace ttys to use fbterm in startup(before login) process+ other problems

I'm trying to make fbterm be run on startup and somehow change/replace the Linux console, it that makes sense, but I don't know how. I know it's involved with getty. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also for some reason tty1 fbterm output is washed over other ttys(who are still on login prompt)

Side question:
Is there a good alternative to fbterm for having a nice graphical tty console and replacing the default linux one? I know yaft and kmscon exists, and kmscon is the latest undergoing slow maintenance (aeft's fork) but I don't know if it can support wallpapers(please let me know if it does and the how-tos)
