artix-related i3 not available with openrc-display manager

Hi,

I installed afresh artix-i3-rolling on a KVM machine. SDDM does not seem to work when I chose artix-sddm-theme. Therefore, I reinstalled with displaymanger-openrc option. However running
Code: [Select]
startx
(with
Code: [Select]
exec i3
in the .xinirc file of the user) does not appear to reflect the default artix i3 configs, particularly the i3-bar.

Any inputs appreciated. Thanks.

Cheers,
/z

Reinstalling displaymanager-openrc is not enough. You need to check in /etc/conf.d/xdm, if the DISPLAYMANAGER setting was set to "sddm" and make sure you have added the xdm service to default runlevel with sudo rc-update add xdm default
