[SOLVED] KDE Plasma not working - hangs on loading screen after logging in.

This started last night after I updated my computer and rebooted. When I log in, I get to the plasma loading screen but the progress bar stops halfway and hangs forever. Other DEs work though (I tried xfce and lxde). Is anyone else having this issue? If so, is there a fix?

I use KDE with openrc, my computer was updated too, but i noticed no problems.

Plasma loading screen hangs happens me too (it happens, it's a general fact). Usually it causes (at least for me) to set up the panel (I adjust the panel as I need it, 20x reboot without problems, then it suddenly crashes.) I solve it by having a backup of plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc and if that happens I will restore from a backup, then KDE will boot without any problems.

But the cause may be elsewhere.

Yes, I have encountered this same problem. I'm new to Artix and Runit so I can't offer any solution. I can only acknowledge the issue has happened to me also. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can steer us in the right direction for a fix.

another DE use not plasma ;-) It's plasma problem.
You can found in internet, that a lot things what can this problem, but mostly is problem with KDE 's config or cache. just use internet browser and search "plasma stuck in loading screen ". I dont think, that's is our (artix)  some library problem.

Thank you Alium!
From the TTY2 terminal,  I just performed a pacman -Sy followed by a pacman -Su
One package was listed to install "qt5-styleplugins"
After installing this package and rebooting, I am now able to log in as normal.
