I currently have two machines running Artix-runit, but I have previously used both Arch Linux and Manjaro, when I have some free time in the future I do intend to play around with Gentoo and and OpenBSD, but for now Artix more than satisfices.

I was a Debian user for more than a decade (usually I had a Windows installation alongside with Linux, but a year ago I went full linux), and then I became curious and started distrohopping. I've tried several distros (MX, Devuan, Void), but as of now I decided that my favourite distros are Artix and Debian, because almost all of the tools I need work greatly in them. I learned a lot about linux' guts while tinkering  Artix, btw. Now I have both Artix and Debian installed on my system, because I still don't know which is better for me, rolling release or point one. Both have their pros and cons, but Artix is an amazing distro, I enjoy running it.

I use Devuan in some servers and Artix in my main laptop.

I am very tempting to try Kiss Linux (without systemd crap of course) but I don't have enough time at the moment.

Arch Linux since 2004,  and Artix as it gives me choice

This is our VPS running gitea and mail-related services, non-stop for 2 years. Why would I need to use anything but Artix, anywhere?
Impressive, and just plain KOOL.

Came from Devuan, seeked a more pure implementation of openrc (devuan/debian openrc init is an odd mix of openrc, LSB, sysvinit).

I check out non-systemd distros all the time, there is a reason I remain here.

I have played with Alpine lately.  Interesting, very minimal.  OK if you stay with their packages, but due to their use of musl; difficult to get outside apps/software working, such as Appimages.  And another odd implementation of openrc by use of busybox init pid 1 and initab to start openrc.

I have tried many others since 1997 when I started using Redhat, moved everything to Gentoo when it started, tried Arch, Debian, and then when systemD took over all that, I found Artix.  I have a headless running FreeBSD, everything else running Artix, because it just works and does it all perfectly

SystemD does not spark joy.

I use Raspbian on a Raspberry Pi because it's easy to install and so far it's been  stable.

I switched to Debian when it's discovered that MS repos were inserted. It's been great with Debian ARM.

I'm thinking of using another distro without systemd or BSD in dual-boot with my Artix. Can you advise any alternative?

MX keeps systemd installed but uses sysvinit for the actual init, you can do this yourself in Debian. Devuan removes systemd entirely.

I dual boot Devuan which gets occasional use and it's been fine,  I now have an Arch partition on one machine too but that's for testing some stuff I can't do on Artix! Antix is related to MX and that was good when I used it last. The distrowatch site currently lists about 95 non-systemd distros although some are not exactly usable desktop distros but more bootable USB tools and so on.
