Hello, rakya77 here. I'm fairly new to linux. Had my first linux installed around February this year. I am getting somewhat familiar with terminal usage. I am still new and learning, installed(migrated from Manjaro) Artix on my main desktop. I hope you to be somewhat patient with me and point me to the right direction.

Finally, it is a good place to be.  It has been almost a month since the dramatic announcement and my Artix runs like a swiss clock.
I am running sddm and openbox and lxde on top of it.  Mostly use the openbox.  Except with a few upgrading hickups with misplaced signatures on pkgs in my first 3 days it has been trouble-free no matter what I throw at it.

2 thumbs up to the team

By the way, my manjaro-openrc still upgrades fine and works, but with all I have running at login Artix is even lighter in ram.  About 50% what it was in Debian before abandonment.

I had made initially a blog with open comments for people trying artix to help each other but after the "weird" reaction in Manjaforum I switched to a more general one sysdfree.wordpress.com where I have praised artix and being honest about it.  Not that artix users would ever need help with anything.

Hi there! mbb here, not very participative but I like to read a lot and be aware of things. I expect Artix to become the base non-systemd install for Arch systems. Really hope this gets going and growing. I'm not using Artix for now. I installed it in a VM some weeks ago and all went fine. I'll keep an eye on it and provide any feedback I find adequate in the future.

Cheers,

Greetings from former Manjaro OpenRC user (was conky57 on Manjaro forum). Great to be here and many thanks to Artix team. I am using Artix with KDE Plasma 5. :)

Best regards
We should try to be kind to everyone.....we are all fighting some sort of battle.

Hi it's robin0800 here at last. after about 50 attempts at registering,  the letters I found difficult to read, it must be my age.

Hiya! I'm thefallenrat. You may know me well if you were active in manjaro forums. I switched to Artix successfully from my manjaro openRC. Since then, I become more happy than I ever was...

I'm grateful to be able to register in this forum and I hope you guys treat me well
If I can hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate!

First off all, welcome to the Artix Forum!

I can switch to reCaptcha (but it's Google), maybe a little easier.

Hello I'm kb41 from Mnajaro forums. I switched one of spare machines that I would play with on openrc to artix. Ithas worked worked like a charm. I also ahd issues trying to register as those letters were terribly hard to read

That thing was so horrible I thought I was going blind and deaf.  I would hear the code, look at the letters and still got it wrong.
It should have banned my IP on the basis of being a dumb bot!  Finally I got it and couldn't believe it.

But if it keep google out keep it.  What do we care, we are in already :)

How come we are all Manjaro refugees here, has anyone told the Arch-OpenRC people?

Has anyone heard or tried obarun

:D

Now I set the level of the captcha from middle to strong, but the letters should be easier to read. It's because of the dark theme.

I think that was issue - reading the letters against that dark background

I hope I contributed to obarun's publicity then http://sysdfree.wordpress.com/2017/08/22/119/
Any linux that is dedicated in running free of systemd is on the right track.  Someday our "choice" will be rewarded!
