Time resets on every reboot (runit)

im sorry if i cant give more specific information about my problem. im new to trouble shooting and newer to documenting them.

I installed artix about 1 week ago and i am encountering this issue where the time resets every time i reboot. Also i don't know how to fix this issue, since i cant find anybody else who is experiencing the same problem. And since i am new to linux and trouble shooting the only thing that i was to do was to set my timezone to CET, but timezone != time. So i am basically stuck :shruggie:

any help is greatly appreciated.

It resets back to "Friday 4 june 2021 11:50".
Also to clear things up, i did use
Code: [Select]
sudo date --set="20220121 13:00
but as i said it resets.

Is everything OK with your BIOS clock and battery? If this date resembles the date of your motherboard's manufacturing, this might be the case.

It is worth setting up an NTP client, but aside from that it soulds like a hardware problem..

this might be up to date
