Reproducible: 100% CPU Usage in Idle (Nasty Bug)

If you leave computer on idle (some apps open too) after some period the CPU usage will go to 100% with fans maxed out and loud.
Htop doesn't show anything. But if you use the old "top" you will find out KHUGEPAGES using 100% CPU.  If you then log as a root and kill -9 pid it will come back after a minute. You have to restart abandoning all your work. This is fully reproducible.

I noticed the same issue after upgrading to kernel 6.1 and fixed it - locally - using a patch. As of 6.1.9 this patch is included upstream. What version do you have?
