Live usb doesn't boot

Hi All,
I have been trying to boot the artix plasma community iso but after i select boot from usb it just goes to a black screen.
I have tried to different usb sticks 16GB and 32GB both work with other distro iso's, so it's not a problem with the usb sticks. I have also tried several different artix iso's and creating the usb with balena-etcher and dd all with the same results. My laptop is is an old acer aspire that supports efi boot. Quiet boot is disabled and no option for secure boot. It seems to be a problem between the laptop and artix as i can boot the usb from my desktop.

Ok, i'm not sure what changeged but the usb booted and i managed to complete the install and all is fine.
