Is dunst started by dbus or something?

On one device I need to start it manually.

I personally start it with the help of "xinitrc"
I know dbus has the potential to lunch it, but i think "xinitrc" is the norm.
if you use xorg, start with "xinitrc"
if wayland, let window manager handle it.
