How to properly set up Wayland with KDE in Artix?

I'm looking for any type of guidance on correctly installing Wayland + KDE on Nvidia graphics without breaking any major functionality. I have tried a few times now with my process being:

  • staring off with the stable plasma + dinit ISO for convenience
  • trying various partition options for sleep, no sleep and hibernation
  • updating existing packages
  • adding pipewire according to the wiki and sof-firmware for sound
  • installing plasma-wayland-session and other wayland packages
  • adding kernel parameters for nvidia according to arch wiki
  • trying out NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocation, drm modes, fbc, mkinitcpio updates, zen kernel, nvidia hooks, sleep settings, trying similar stuff to this
  • ...

My main issue being that sleep and hibernation are broken. I would love to hear if anyone has their own process/ 'hack' to make it work or not break in the first place. I don't mind switching packages or inits. My goal is just to get working Wayland KDE on my nvidia laptop.  Perhaps I'll try moving away from KDE for my next attempt.
