Galaxy repo question 15 January 2024, 19:06:43 Guys, just two questions:Reading the news I can see the following:2023-09-10 Repository structure changes (Galaxy repo has been merged into World)2023-12-18 Server is back online (Galaxy repo is online again)1) So, what's true? Is Galaxy already merged into World or is it still separate?2) Has something terrible happened to Gitea? Why is it still not responsive? Where are the package sources now?SOLVED: The content of galaxy repo was moved into world. Then empty galaxy was populated with content of universe. Thanks, Ambie. Marking as solved. Re: Galaxy repo question Reply #1 – 15 January 2024, 19:51:52 Hello,Quote1) So, what's true? Is Galaxy already merged into World or is it still separate?Yes, the world merged with galaxy and after that universe moved to galaxy.Quote2) Has something terrible happened to Gitea? Why is it still not responsive? Where are the package sources now?It lives on the same server as our secondary build server (for galaxy and big paclages) and archive. There seems to be some bug which kills it during compilation, we are working on mitigating this issue for the future.Best regards,Juraj 1 Likes

As a result, those who have the universe repository enabled in pacman.conf should remove it and add galaxy. Hmm, I'm confused now.So, is it just system and world now?
Re: Galaxy repo question Reply #4 – 15 January 2024, 20:47:08 The general aArtix packages are in system and world. The additional packages which do not fit into those repositories or are way too long to build go to galaxy repository. The universe is now called galaxy. 1 Likes

Am I right?I'm just still confused about Galaxy being merged INTO world part. (Doesn't merged into mean that it's not separate anymore?) Last Edit: 16 January 2024, 12:04:51 by TheExplorer
