Functionality of GNOME app & circle? 15 August 2024, 19:11:43 Is there any issues with apps within Gnome apps and Circle because of the absence of systemd, not including apps exclusively for Gnome Shell (Tour, Settings, Extensions)?
Re: Functionality of GNOME app & circle? Reply #1 – 15 August 2024, 19:30:36 GNOME works without systemd fine, otherwise *BSD would have whole lotta problems with it. But when it comes to Linux, it depends on distro maintainers to iron out those things, and it seems like it was conscious decision that GNOME is a waste of time for Artix devs, but don't take my word for it, it's just observation from here, if you want to install GNOME then you're on your own.Spoiler (click to show/hide)Also, GNOME devs have been involved in a lot of questionable situations over the years, resulting in drama that likely influenced some aspects here, but as I said that's just my observation.
