General Linux trouble running the Tor browser, no error message appearing.

After installing the Tor browser package from the official repository, it gave me an error:
/root/.local/opt/tor-browser/app/Browser/start-tor-browser: line 28: [: : integer expression expected
/root/.local/opt/tor-browser/app/Browser/start-tor-browser: line 45: zenity: command not found
/root/.local/opt/tor-browser/app/Browser/start-tor-browser: line 53: kdialog: command not found
/root/.local/opt/tor-browser/app/Browser/start-tor-browser: line 60: xmessage: command not found
/root/.local/opt/tor-browser/app/Browser/start-tor-browser: line 75: gxmessage: command not found

I installed those packages but now when I run 'tor-browser' from the terminal the command goes through and executes because I can see the command line appear again, but nothing comes up. When I run it with sudo it tells me I cannot run it from root which makes sense.

Tor-browser in <galaxy> is very outdated. You can try AUR.

Why is this the case, isn't the Tor browser an extremely popular package?

Apparently not tor-browser. Most people are using torbrowser-launcher.
