Media Player and Internet Browser not functional

New user. Dual boot with Windows. RAM around 8GB. Partitioned Disk which is SSD to around 100GB for this Linux.

When selected Advanced Options during startup and chose that, those apps work BUT not when during normal boot. Fresh install because before the login screen was completely white with pixelations. Nothing can be seen or selected even with esc. This time I choose auto login so they do not ask for user name or password at startup.

So why do they work with Advanced Options startup and not the default? Wifi was installed using Network Manager which comes pre-installed however installation was done with wired internet first.

Graphical installation image. DE is LXQt. init is Dinit.

Did they work in live session before installation? Did you update after installation?

Okay appreciate your response. It turns out updating did make those two work, found some forum that showed how something about sudo?  ;D Odd that this is not needed to work in live env and via the advanced startup.
So now been trying to set up so I can install a word processor and change Falcon to some other browser, it allows you tube ads through with ad block and does not have much extension. My Windows no longer does that when I change extension.  So far no luck on setting that up but I'll keep researching and trying out stuff.
