Ignore Pkg

Im contemplating putting linux kernel upgrades into /etc/pacman.conf under ignore.

Just wanted to ask whether this would be an good idea or not? Probably not from a security standpoint but my computer is nearly ten years old, i really doubt kernel upgrades are going to be necessary unless there is something like spectre vulnerabilities again or worse. I cant justify the bandwidth lately, every few days is a new kernel update and at around 70 MB it seems like a waste if i dont  really need it?

Why not just switch to the lts kernel in that case?

Has around the same amount of updates as i have that as backup kernel, im using the zen kernel so will ignore it for awhile and see what happens.

I've put my kernels under ignore. I rarely update them, especially as I usually hibernate/resume.

Cheers, i thought so. Ill keep an eye on kernel.org in case something changes.
