[SOLVED] brightnessctl 0.5.1-2 broken (assumes systemd) 04 April 2020, 20:08:28 Hi,brightnessctl just got updated from 0.5.1-1 to 0.5.1-2. It's a single change: it is now built with ENABLE_SYSTEMD=1 instead of INSTALL_UDEV_RULES=1.As a result, it is no longer possible to set brightness as a normal user (but 'sudo brightnessctl s ...' works).Could artix provide a version of this package built the "old" way, with udev rules being installed? Re: brightnessctl 0.5.1-2 broken (assumes systemd) Reply #1 – 04 April 2020, 20:21:31 Note: there's also https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/light/, which uses udev rules (and no signs of systemd there...). I'm fine with using that instead of brightnessctl.

Will be in repo soon. When it is updated, should be revision 2.1, let me know if it works as expected. Last Edit: 04 April 2020, 21:22:07 by ndowens
