Since the update to LibreWolf 100.0, the shortcuts and also web search activated under settings in the home tab, are no longer displayed, when starting the browser.
Does anyone know if this is a new feature of LibreWolf or if it is simply a bug?

Since the last update to LibreWolf 100.0.2 the shortcuts on the start page are displayed again.
So it seems that it was a display issue of the browser, which was fixed by the update.

As far as I remember, Librewolf is advertised in the installation. I think that we should remove it as we redirect users to the arch repos

Librewolf indeed does not build: https://forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topic,5922.msg36908.html#msg36908
Firedragon is available in our Galaxy repo and will be kept up-to-date again from now on.
Also, there is Ungoogled Chromium in Galaxy.

The developers of the firedragon browser have stopped updating it. This until they have completed the rebase which should result in firedragon-next.

The librewolf browser package librewolf-121.0-1-x86_64 is now available in the Artix omniverse repository, and - provided the builds succeed - will be kept up-to-date.

I am afraid that I do not see it:
Code: [Select]
$  pacman -Sl omniverse | grep libre | wc -l
0

Are the repos on the main page current?

Please, could you somehow update the 1st post of this thread with universe --> omniverse for /etc/pacman.conf ?
Code: [Select]
[omniverse]
Server = https://omniverse.artixlinux.org/$arch

DRM Compatibility
Digital rights management (DRM) is enforced off by default (this is needed for Netflix and similar); you can enable it with the following instructions:

Open librewolf.cfg (/usr/lib/librewolf/librewolf.cfg)
  • Comment the active lines with // under the subsection User Settings: DRM/CDM - Widevine ->
    //lockPref("media.gmp-widevinecdm.visible", false);
    //lockPref("media.gmp-widevinecdm.enabled", false);
    //lockPref("media.gmp-widevinecdm.autoupdate", false);

  • Restart Firefox then open about:preferences and enable Play DRM... under general section
    Firefox will download Widevine and enable it (under about:addons plugins section) you can force the download by clicking Check for updates under the tools button

plus some useful addons: https://librewolf-community.gitlab.io/docs/addons/
