Encrypting both / and /home ?

Is it possible and should I do it? Because I just did, I couldn't get past the login screen. I input the password and press enter, nothing happens. It doesn't budge.

It sure is possible, but both / and /home will need to opened, either with a key or passowrd, and mounted. There are several possibilities for this.
