[SOLVED] init update broke bootup 06 April 2021, 18:56:54 I received notification of a list of updates. One on the list was "gentoo openrc..." some such.. I did not notice the exact name of the file. After the update completed it asked for a reboot. Doing so resulted in a frozen black screen with cursor blinking in the upper left corner of the screen.I did control-delete which gave me a reboot and I interrupted that at the choice screen and selected advanced Artix (the second choice of the two on the list) which did boot up successfully. Can I get some advice on what to do so that it boots normally on the regular Artix selection? What file(s) do I edit, etc.Or, can I undo the updates.. or should I wait for the next update which may have a file to fix this?Thank you,~ hagg Last Edit: 06 April 2021, 19:56:48 by hagg

Code: [Select]pacman -Syu NEVER ask for rebootThe app asked for the reboot, saying it was required. But I see the point of using the terminal instead of that Pamac. Thanks for the reminder.. that fixed it. No more Pamac. ~ hagg
