Yes, there is the word dragon in the English word dragonfly, but not in other languages ​​(French, German, Spanish etc.).

All of this is based on paganism. And here it would be useful to remember what Christianity says about paganism and worship of idols ...
"paganism" is a christian idea, right?
plenty of christian have idols they love, while hating the ones others like...

Well certainly if you're a practising Christian.
Otherwise if you are Arthur Uther Pendragon or of his ilk you probably have little interest listening to Christian pronouncements and diktats.

I'm not religious myself but can see some sense in worshipping the Sun, Earth and fire over and above the mainstream cults religions.

The momentum and circumstances leading to the current state of BSD versus Linux, or (factual, historical) reasons others have mentioned.

I've regularly kept tabs on DistroWatch news related to the various BSDs. It appears on the surface that the FreeBSD project in particular are trying to push the gas on both the desktop accessibility and laptop support, the latter of which is a huge pain point for the former. This doesn't equate to gains in popularity, I am well aware of that since BSD lacks the momentum for such specific use cases. GhostBSD will likely remain the "Linux Mint" of the BSD world, and you know what that might actually be for the best...

Linux is more popular then BSD is as true as it is false.
Is Linux really more popular when it comes to web hosting?
Is Linux really more popular when we are talking about  security.
Is Linux really more popular when it comes to forking to other proprierty operating systems like OSX?
Is Linux really more popular when you just look at the licenses: GPL vs. MIT
