Terminus Font not being detected on certain programs

I'm running into this issue where certain programs like Aseprite and Krita where the Terminus font does not work/is not detected at all, and I'm unable to use it on these programs, despite the fact the font detects and works perfectly fine on things like the Terminal or in my browsers

I'm aware that there's the TerminusTTF font/package, but I don't like that one when compared to regular Terminus due to the fact it's vectorized and it doesn't look as sharp when using bigger sizes. I want the pixelated/no anti-aliasing version.

What can I do to solve this issue? Do I need to convert the default Terminus font myself?
