You Tube autotranslate subtitles not working - You Tube's fault

At the moment I can get subtitles in the original language, but if I click on autotranslate to any other language nothing appears. Some videos have an alternate language audio track created by AI and that still works, although I prefer the subtitles. It turns out this is nothing to do with any software update or adblocker, but is a problem with You Tube itself which many people have experienced:

Knowing this might save a bit of time looking to see where they have gone.  ;)
