1password and Firefox build

So, I had to wrestle quite a bit with the Arch 1password build (not directly vendor supported) to get it to work with FF when I first switched to Artix about a year ago.  The update to FF I received on Friday 8/29 (141.0.3) broke this.  The way the whole thing works is that there is a browser extension for 1password that connects with a desktop app via Firefox-provided plumbing.  My presumption is that something in the FF build changed that is causing an issue with the backend connection.  That's what was wrong the last time.

It took me about a week of on and off configuration hassle and multiple trips to support to get it solved last time.  I'm done with wrestling with this stuff on my own.  It's a significant productivity drain that I don't have time for, and apparently my use case is rare.  Switching to a desktop distro that is directly supported, probably Ubuntu.  This is a significant problem - I have multiple systems spanning multiple platforms and I need a password manager that works across all of them.  I suppose my use case forces me to use a yucky systemd distro to avoid this pain.  So Artix (perhaps Arch) is not for me apparently.  But i'm sure that someone else is going to face this also.
