New Firmware Update causes Extreme Instability on Thinkpad T530

Hello there, I'm not super fluent in what specifically I need to put here, nor am I necessarily completely sure what the problem is, I just know that after I installed the recent 20250927 version of the firmware files I experienced severe instability on my Thinkpad T530. Specifically I would first experience a sudden hard-block on my WiFi followed shortly by my entire laptop becoming unresponsive to anything other than a forced power off. Specifically (and strangely) this would almost always happen when loading a specific link to a zoom meeting, if I didn't open that link the sudden crash would happen after about 10 minutes. Unfortunately nothing of any note was logged (the logs before the forced power off where never the same).

My fix to this issue is just to downgrade all firmware of version 20250927 back to 20250808, this appears to fix the issue for the most part, but if I begin experiencing issues again I will add to this thread.

Is anyone else experiencing (or have experienced) similar issues?

I found the solution and the problem, turns out I was using pipewire without using pipewire-openrc this meant that when using applications like zoom (which is actually how I found this problem in the first place) it would send an error which, for some reason wouldn't be handled properly. Once I enabled pipewire-openrc I was able to upgrade the Linux-Firmware and have everything work perfectly. I believe that the problem is in the way that this new firmware handles errors, or something relating to this, since I've used zoom with this configuration before the update and it worked perfectly fine.

BTW: thank you to Gleb2707 for posting this topic: https://forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topic,8674.0.html and bringing my attention to pipewire problems using openrc.

Okay, so I guess that actually didn't work... My system started crashing again shortly after I wrote this... Really not sure what's going on.
