OBS what kind of equipment i need to record at 1920x1080?

As it is i have an i7 7700 with 32 gb ram. I have never had a machine that optimized at better than 1280x720.

Anyone uses this software knows the answer to this?

the automated setup defaults to 1280x720

Can you provide what settings the automated setup landed on? File -> Settings. In the output tab, list the selected options for recording. Under the video tab, verify the base and output resolutions are the same.

I would first recommend using 1280x720 for both, unless you have any specific need to use something else. That's one less operation to perform on the video feed.

Do you mind sharing what's in that output tab?

that defeats the purpose of the post to record at 1080p. I'm not streaming also.

I may be missing the point, as I often do, but why can't you just change the scaled resolution to 1920x1080 ?
Is it not there ?

I think you have restated my question in your own words. The auto configure selects for me 1280x720 which is not the resolution i wish to use. So my question was what equipment i need to do 1920x1280 since that was what EVERY computer i have used it on default to for autoconfigure.

Your question asks what equipment you need to record at 1920x1280.
My question is can you not simply change the setting to 1920x1280 ?
That seems to me to be a different question.
