My Adventure in Installing DSDA-Doom on Artix

I didn't know where to put this thread, so I posted it here.

I love playing Doom. The original Doom, not the new one. It's the only game I play nowadays. I switched to Artix (OpenRC) recently and I love how lightweight it is compared to vanilla Arch. After installing yay, I decided to install DSDA-Doom. It couldn't because Artix didn't have the dependency Allegro4. I didn't feel like enabling the Arch repositories, so I went to Allegro's official web site, downloaded Allegro4, and compiled it from source. It wasn't that hard. I tried yay again but the PKGBUILD that was being used couldn't detect the Allegro4 I had compiled from source. It was then I decided to download DSDA-Doom from Github and compile it myself. I had trouble with that because the build instructions were unclear. After finding this guide, I was able to compile, install, and run it without issue.

So, yeah. That was how I installed DSDA-Doom on Artix. Oh, and I'm really enjoying OpenRC. It's really simple, easy to understand, and it runs well.
